Querido
hermano Allan Phillips Gross:
Con seguridad esta carta le
tome de sorpresa y hasta recele, todo lo cual es muy normal puesto que no
nos conoce y nuestra naturaleza activa sus mecanismos de defensa para la
conservación ante lo desconocido.
Cuando a las personas no les
queda mucho que perder es cuando se rinden a Dios, pero nosotros venimos a Ud.
para proponerle una nueva familia. Una familia que procura como prioridad el bien de
las personas de manera desinteresada, incluso a costa del interés propio. Una
familia fomentada en el amor de Jesucristo.
Es natural que se pregunte: ¿por qué me escriben a mí?
Le puedo
asegurar que aunque las autoridades posean mecanismos sofisticados de control
para silenciar muchas de las informaciones provenientes de las prisiones, las
voces de los penados siempre se abrirán paso atravesando las rejas para
descubrir la realidad oculta de las cárceles en cualquier lugar en que se
encuentren, y sabemos bien por lo que Ud. está pasando.
Lo que es
del hombre el hombre lo puede detener, pero lo que es de Dios, el hombre no lo
puede detener y la capellanía de prisiones es un mandato celestial:
“Acuérdense
de los presos, como si ustedes fueran sus compañeros de cárcel y también de los
que son maltratados, como si fueran ustedes mismos los que sufren”. (Hebreos 13:3)
La razón de esta carta no es hacer proselitismo
cristiano, no importa la fe que profese, no tiene que hacer renunciación de la
fe que tenga para que le atendamos, solo quisiera que nos pueda aceptar como
sus hermanos, tanto en las buenas como en las malas.
Yo fui reo
de Satanás antes de conocer a Jesús, fui reo del hombre por no conocer su
maldad y hoy que estoy preso por causa de Jesucristo es cuando verdaderamente
soy libre, por eso mi participación afectiva hacia los penados no proviene de
una realidad ajena a mí. Mis sentimientos, especialmente
hacia los reos por una causa política, no es por empatía sino porque fui
sufrido por mucho tiempo, como hoy lo está sufriendo Ud.

Surely
this letter take you by surprise and to be wary, all of which is very normal since we don't
know and our nature activates its mechanisms of defense for the preservation of
the unknown.
When
there is people much to lose is when they surrender to God, but we come to you to propose a new
family. A family seeks the good of people in a disinterested way, even
at the expense of self-interest as priority. A family fostered in the love of
Jesus Christ.
It
is natural that you ask: why would I write to me?
I
can assure you that although the authorities possess sophisticated mechanisms of control to
silence many of the information coming from the prisons, the voices of
prisoners the always open pass crossing bars to discover the hidden reality of
prisons wherever they are, and we know very well what you are going
through.
What
is man's man can stop it, but what is of God, man cannot stop it and prison chaplaincy is a heavenly
mandate:
"Remember
the prisoners as if you were his companions in jail and also those who are mistreated as if
you yourselves were suffering". (Hebrews 13:3)
The
reason for this letter is not Christian proselytizing, no matter the faith that they profess, do
not have to renunciation of the faith that have so we address you, I would
just like that we can accept as his brothers, both the good and the bad.
I was guilty of Satan before knowing Jesus, I
was guilty of man by not knowing their evil and now
that I'm a prisoner because of Jesus Christ is when I am truly free, so
my affective participation toward the convicts does not come from a
really alien to me. My feelings, especially for inmates for a
political cause, is not for empathy but because I suffered for a long
time, like today is suffering what you.
